HR Generalist 

Key Competencies 

  • National Diploma: HR Management
  • 5 years’ general HR experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Automotive seating experience (ADVANTAGEOUS)
  • Computer literate (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of Labour Legislation (LRA, BCEA, EEA, B-BBEE, SDA)
  • A working knowledge of IATF16949 Quality Management System
  • HR management software (VIP)
  • Personal attributes: confident, strong interpersonal and communication skills, motivated, ability to
  • work under pressure, positive attitude, motivator, good moral/ethical integrity

 

Key Performance Areas

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manage and facilitate recruitment process (drafting adverts, sourcing candidates, shortlisting, interviews, feedback, offers of employment)
  • Manage and support discipline and grievance processes (i.e. assisting with drafting charges, managing process and ensuring correct process followed)
  • 3. Guide, advise and facilitate performance management activities (performance reviews, poor work performance issues, probation)
  • Management and control of headcount (planning, monitoring and review, organograms)
  • Supervise and co-ordinate absenteeism controls
  • Assist and co-ordinate monthly reporting
  • Liaise and engage with representative unions (monthly meetings, daily issues)
  • Facilitate and manage benefits: medical aid, provident fund
  • Assist with employment equity, B-BBEE and Skills Development compliance
